喜びいっぱい！　ふわふわ咲くハナミズキ。

大好きなピンクのハナミズキを見ていたら、ある曲が流れてきました。

"Eternal Flame” by the Bangles

まずは official videoです。1989年にシングル・リリースされています。

学生時代に組んでいた女子バンドで、成功した数少ない曲の一つです

ふんわりとしたメロディーとシンプルな歌詞ですが、一度聞いたら（歌ったら）心から消えなかった。忘れられなかったです。

わたしはライブ版が好きです。この時、Susanna は何歳なのかな？　52歳？

皆さんは炎を見つめると、何を感じますか？

わたしは、命や愛、永遠性や生きる力を感じます。儚いようで、揺るぎないもの。

2021年の Susanna（62歳）の歌声からは、そんな強さが感じられます。

Isn't she charming?  She is aging gracefully.  

この曲と彼女の姿は、ハナミズキの花言葉と重なる気がします。

来年もハナミズキを仰いで、Eternal Flame を歌いたいです。
