切ないバラード

わたしは10代の時、クラッシックギターを弾いていました。Extreme の "More Than Words" や、Mr. Big の "To Be With You" を友人と弾き、ハモっていました。アメリカ英語の発音を身に付けたくて必死でした。

そのうち、エレキギターに憧れるようになりました。一番魅了されたのは Aerosmith の "Cryin' " です。

イントロをかっこよく弾きたい。その後のアルペジオは弾けるだろう。できたらソロの部分も弾きたい！　

そんな夢を見て、20歳で Fender の赤い Stratocaster を買いました。

けれど実際は、なで肩に重いエレキをかけられない。指は短く、力不足で弦をしっかり押さえられない。当然ヴィブラートもできない。

"Cryin' " のイントロを力強く弾くことはできず、かっこいいはずのソロも弱弱しく聞き苦しいだけでした。

結局、すべてを男の子にお願いして、わたしは密やかにアルペジオだけ弾いていました。

そんな思い出の曲から、リスニング問題です。ビデオはあえてライブを選びました。Official Video よりカッコいいです。
