わたしの青春時代は、ニュージーランドへ飛ぶまでの時期だと思います。10代後半からそれまでの間、英語と音楽の夢を追っていました。そのころに聴いていた洋楽を取り上げていきたいと思います。まずは、Extreme（ボストン出身のロックバンド)の "More Than Words" です。

いかがでしたか？

「"I love you" ということば以上に ( =more than words )、愛を表す方法があるんだ」という内容です。「手を伸ばして触れてほしい。強く抱きしめてほしい」というわけです。

わたしは逆に、"I love you" と言ってほしいし、言いたいです。話したり書いたりできるなら、気持ちを伝える「ことば」を大事に活用したいです。
